Your privacy matters to us — especially because you're sharing photos of your personal space. This policy explains exactly what we do and don't do with your information. We've written it in plain English on purpose.

The short version: we use your photos only to create your plan, we never share them with anyone, and you can delete them any time.

Your Photos

When you submit photos of your space, those photos are used to create your personalized room plan and are stored securely in your members area. Your photos are only visible to you and are never shared with, sold to, or accessed by anyone else.

You are in full control of your photos at all times. You can keep them for before and after comparison, or delete them any time from your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

If you do not have an active subscription after 30 days of your purchase, your account, photos, and plan are automatically and permanently removed from our system.

We will never sell your photos, share them with third parties, use them in advertising, or display them publicly in any form. Your home is your home.

Your Email Address

If you provide your email address to create an account or receive tips, we will use it to send you your account information and occasional product updates. We will never sell or share your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.

Your Home Identity

ClearStep uses a visual home fingerprint to maintain the integrity of your account. When you first scan your rooms, we store structural characteristics of each room — such as wall height, wall shapes, room proportions, ceiling style, and architectural features. This fingerprint is used only to ensure your account remains associated with the home you originally registered.

We do not store your home address, street name, suburb, city, postcode, GPS coordinates, or any physical location information of any kind. Your home is identified only by the nickname you choose when you set up your account.

We do not log or store your IP address. We do not use location tracking of any kind.

One Home Per Account

Each ClearStep account is registered to one home. Monthly and Yearly subscribers may add a second home to their account at a discounted rate. Single Room and Whole Home one-time purchases cover one home only.

Moving to a New Home

If you move, you can initiate a home reset from within your account settings. Once we process the request, your old home will be deactivated and you will receive a notification that you are ready to start scanning your new home. Your old home data will be removed at that point.

Payment Information

All payments are processed by Stripe, a trusted and secure payment processor. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data under their own industry-standard security and compliance protocols.

Cookies & Analytics

We use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how people use the site — for example, which pages are visited most. This helps us improve the product. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or sell your browsing data to anyone.

Refund Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable. Because your plan is created specifically for your space at the time of purchase, we are unable to offer refunds once your results have been delivered.
