Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of ClearStep and any services we provide. By purchasing or using our service, you agree to these terms. We've kept them straightforward and in plain English.

One Home Per Account

Each ClearStep account is registered to one home. Your home is identified by a nickname you choose and a visual home fingerprint created from the structural characteristics of your rooms. We do not store your address, location, or IP address.

Monthly subscribers may add a second home for $19/month. Yearly subscribers may add a second home for $69/year. Each home is billed independently. Single Room and Whole Home one-time purchases do not include a multi-home discount.

Attempting to use your account for a property other than your registered home may result in your account being flagged or suspended.

Moving to a New Home

If you move, you must initiate a home reset through your account settings. Your old home will be deactivated and your fingerprint reset so you can begin scanning your new home. You cannot begin scanning a new property without completing this process.

Home Fingerprint

To protect the integrity of our one-home-per-account policy, ClearStep stores structural visual characteristics of your scanned rooms. This data is used solely to verify that scans submitted to your account match your registered home. It is never shared, sold, or used for any other purpose.

What You're Purchasing

When you purchase a Single Room ($14) or Whole Home ($49) plan, you are purchasing a one-time room assessment that delivers a personalized, step-by-step declutter plan based on the photos you submit.

When you subscribe to a Monthly ($24/month) or Yearly ($79/year) plan, you are purchasing ongoing access to unlimited room assessments, progress tracking, and before & after photo storage for the duration of your subscription.

No Refund Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable. Because your personalized plan is created and delivered at the time of purchase based on your specific photos, we are unable to offer refunds once results have been delivered.

If you believe there has been a technical error or you did not receive your results, please contact us at hello@clearstep.diy within 7 days of purchase and we will investigate and resolve the issue.

Monthly and yearly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.

Your Photos & Content

By submitting photos to ClearStep, you confirm that you have the right to share those photos. You retain full ownership of any photos you submit. We do not claim any rights to your photos. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how photos are handled.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use ClearStep only for its intended purpose: submitting photos of real spaces to receive declutter guidance. You may not submit photos that contain other people without their consent, photos of illegal activity, or photos that violate any applicable laws.

Service Availability

We do our best to keep ClearStep running reliably. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for any downtime, delays, or technical issues beyond our control. If a technical issue affects your ability to receive your purchased plan, contact us and we will make it right.

Limitation of Liability

ClearStep provides organizational guidance only. We are not responsible for any outcomes resulting from following or not following the plans we provide. All recommendations are suggestions — you use them at your own discretion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
